This bike originated as a 1995 Honda VLX Softail VTwin Deluxe 600 as my Bobber Build Donor. The bike was purchased from a rider who used it occasionally. It was not on the road or NYS inspected when I bought it in October of 2016 with 6100 miles.
To start the transformation to a Bison Customs bike I removed all the unnecessary parts and totally degreased the entire machine. While the bike was stripped down, I did a complete inspection of all parts and fasteners to assure everything was in good working order and secured properly.
Once complete, I began the design phase for the Bobber Build using the highlights of the Donor bike.
For this build, I decided to keep as much of the chrome as is because it was in suchgreat condition. My initial inspiration was a chopper style build. To complete the Bison Customs version of this bike, I purchased new parts to replace the OEM's removed:
Extra wide solo bobber seat
LED Turn signals
Fiberglass Head pipe Wrap
Diamond Tread Plate Highlight Covers
Bobber Style rear fender and struts
To compliment those additions, I kept the drag pipes with "appropriate" baffling.
The stock fuel tank was sanded down, prepped and painted with Hammered Matte Black finish. The final coat of Matte Clear was used to seal and protect the surface.
This Bobber will be complete and sold in mid August in the $2500.
